So my current day gig is as a nanotechnologist at this hip little
startup in Chicago, NanoInk. By
evening / night / and weekends, I am many varieties of timpanist /
percussionist / drummer:
The civic gig is pretty
sweet, and I get to perform with some amazingly talented players.
The J3 Intent is a great project exploring jazz, fusion, funk, rock,
and generally anything that grooves. We play at bars, clubs, and
the occassional private event.
If "leisure time" can eve
be said to exist anymore,
I spend it reading,
running, or doing other outdoorsy stuff. Or quaffing a fine
brew. See Opus 18 Music and
Brewing to learn more about our plans to found a
music-brewery. Someday soon, it's gonna be sweet....
Then there are always house projects -- working on my place in
Jefferson Park (Chicago):
...so far having given that girl a new roof. More plans on the
way....
But really, I love backpacking,
rock climbing, mountain biking,
skiing, etc. Invaluable resources for planning excellent outdoor
adventures:
National Park Service
GORP
(I've got a bunch of photos
from these adventures in the sights
department.)
